wedding at borgo casabianca, tuscany

The moment we met with Tiffanie and Mark we knew this would be a wedding to remember a lifetime. These two lovebirds are way out of the ordinary. Their distinctive eyes for all things beautiful and their warmth, kind and welcoming being made us somehow fell in love from the beginning when they told us about their plans to get married under the tuscan sun. Tiffanie is a graphic and interior designer and her world is defined by color schemes that blow your mind because you just never imagined these color combinations would work that well. And she knows how to turn an odd place into a wonderland. Mark is a Norwegian-American artist whos work is inspired by Street Art and comic strips. Watercolor and fine pencil lines replace the blocks of bright colors and paradoxically give his composition an allure of old postcards. Oh and the happy couple just recently opened up their own lovely coffee shop at lake Geneva in Switzerland where they live.

To fit their high aesthetic requirements we recommended our dear friend and business colleague Tabea Maria-Lisa to be their Floral Designer and Event Stylist for the wedding. We think we're allowed to say that they fell in love with each other on first sight. TML created an outstanding mix of a fashionable yet classic design that fit our dear couple so perfectly. The combination of these bold colors and sophisticated details that were dear to the couple’s hearts truly blew us away. This surprisingly refreshing design with a twist of classics and tons of details just made our heart flutter. Somehow it was like out of a movie. The color scheme was made out of shades of yellow, apricot, orange, beige, blush pink, pink and green and the hand-dyed silk ribbons were floating just so romantically in the tuscan wind. Overall we were blessed with perfect weather. The manor house of the 18th-century Borgo Casabianca is a magical place. Thanks to its position close to the Crete Senesi, the hotel is in one of those places made for romantic stays. The stunning view of Mount Amiata added to the authentic tuscan atmosphere. Tiffanie and Mark truly had an amazing al fresco wedding: a touching ceremony in the garden and a 32 meters long table scape in the inner courtyard and a party outside till the early morning hours.

They drove in an ancient Cinquecento, their two charming pugs were part of the guests. Ben Singleton, Founder and Director of Italyweddings and his team made sure that on the actual wedding day everything went smoothly. The bride of course did the stationery herself and her dress was absolutely voguish. And her Bertie Valentine jacket just added a crazy twist. The Italian food was delicious! The wedding weekend started with a pizza party and also the farewell brunch was exquisite. The food on the wedding? Well we still dream about it (the two are also some serious foodies).

The love and generosity of Tiffanie and Mark made this wedding weekend a unique experience not only for all of their international guests but also for us. So can we do it all over again, please?!
